You're at least twice as safe in Europe from being murdered as you are in the United States and up to seven times as safe. Think about that! You are living in a country many times more dangerous than others.

And it looks like all those guns haven't done a thing for us except make the owners and executives of gun manufacturers rich. They sure haven't protected us from being murdered more than in other nations.

Most Americans seem to love violence in sports, games, movies, on TV, on the Internet, and in the news. Nothing beats that adrenaline high. Many American males seem to feel that if they get angry about something they have the right to get even by grabbing a gun and just killing the person they are angry with or, too often, by just killing anybody or everybody.

Americans have to stop tolerating those who advocate hate and violence against others. Make advocating hate and violence illegal with severe consequences. Enough of this total freedom to advocate anything nonsense. It's killing us. And find out what other nations have done. They are obviously successful at having free and open societies without having a murder epidemic like we have.

(Webmaster's comment: And just to add some icing on the cake there are 238 reported aggravated assaults per 100,000 inhabitants in the United States per year. That works out to over 19,000 aggravated assaults per 100,000 inhabitants in the United States in your 80 year life span. And that is just the REPORTED ones. Your odds of being severely beaten at least once before you die, and every one of your loved ones being severely beaten before they die, are like 20%. Add to that our world record levels of forcible rape and child maltreatment deaths. How did we ever reach such a level of violence? And what are we going to do about it? Keep claiming that this is the price of Freedom and Liberty? I say that price is to high! Like I said above, other nations have free and open societies but without our level of violence. Maybe we should find out how they do that!)
